About

We became interested in photography while living in Germany. After moving to Pennsylvania, we discovered our love of nature, especially birds, while roaming our state and local parks. We have turned our yard into a haven for birds and insects, which in turn provide us with willing photo objects.

Doris is a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography. She pursues a career in freelance writing and photography and is a regular contributor to Pennsylvania Magazine. She specializes in bird and wildlife photography.

Doris has won several awards for her photography, most notably a first place in Wildbird Magazine’s photo contest 2005 for her photo of an airborne Tufted Titmouse. Following this award, she was featured on KDKA-TV. She also won the Feathered Friends category in Birds & Blooms magazine’s backyard photo contest 2009-10.
